Every day we will be here to fill your hearts with sights and sounds from the Cowboys training camp practices out in Oxnard. Today’s practice was the second straight with the pads on.

A couple of veteran players were given rest days:

It was a very special day because today is also Dak Prescott’s birthday, he was serenaded by the fans on his way onto the field:

Folks have been curious about Dan Bailey after some injuries and late season misses. Bailey missed his first field goal attempt on day one but he’s been lights out since:

Randy Gregory was spotted talking with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones who always believes in second chances. Gregory’s worked hard for this opportunity to take advantage of his.

How about a few action shots of the running backs going through drills? Ezekiel Elliott leads the way. Shout out to our very own RJ Ochoa, who’s repping BTB in SoCal:

Taking a gander at the defensive side of the ball, Tyrone Crawford looking slim and strong:

Byron Jones had himself a day in the first padded practice, here he is denying Lance Lenoir:

Revenge is a dish best served cold, Lance Lenoir went on a tear against Byron shortly after, getting the better of him on this day:

A few reps later, Lenoir draws the holding penalty on Byron. Lenoir is definitely putting himself in the conversation:

In one-on-one’s, Cole Beasley puts Chidobe Awuzie on skates as he burns past him:

Don’t worry about Chido...he stayed step for step with one of the fastest dudes on the team, Deonte Thompson:

Cole Beasley followed up a really nice practice yesterday with another good day:

ALERT: Tight ends are doing things! Blake Jarwin getting one over on the G.O.A.T. Jeff Heath:

Another guy who’s been looking quite good is Allen Hurns but the rookie Donovan Olumba was beat immediately by the crafty vet:

Hurns was able to get between a chasing Jaylon Smith and Chido for this one:

Remember when Rod Smith destroyed the Giants’ defense last season? Rod in the flat has a nice ring to it:

Darius Jackson got himself a little action too after breaking a nice one in yesterday’s practice:

The backups have been nice but there are no issues of job security for Mr. 21:

Getting dinged up in two out of the four practices isn’t a great start for Chaz Green:

Anthony Brown was on the rough side of the action yesterday but this is a well-time corner blitz on a would-be sack:

Brown’s direct competition, Jourdan Lewis, broke up a Cooper Rush pass that was close to being picked:

It was a nice job for Marchie Murdock, who held onto the ball through contact from Kam Kelly:

Terrance Williams hauls in a good one from Cooper Rush:

“Not today, Rico Gathers” says rookie Tyree Robinson:

Cole Beasley just keeps putting it on guys, this time against Jourdan Lewis:

Tavon Austin shows the jets on this return:

Austin snags one with the first team offense:

In compete period, La’el Collins beats Taco Charlton and Mr. Charlton was not happy about it. First camp tussle ensued:

Travis Frederick did his best Collins impression with Brian Price:

Back to team drills, we finally get a little more of Michael Gallup, after he’s been impressing early on in these practices:

Practice ended with some good old fashioned wind sprints before the Cowboys take Monday off:

Just because the Cowboys will be taking tomorrow off doesn’t mean BTB will, keep checking back for updates an analysis of the first week of training camp.
