Breaking: Cowboys CB Marquez White indicted for road rage incident

Bad news for the defensive back on the bubble.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys-Minicamp Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

A Twitter post reports that Dallas Cowboys defensive back Marquez White is in trouble with the law.

There are no other details available at this time, but this is another bit of bad news for the team following the suspension of David Irving and the Terrance Williams incident. White was a sixth round pick of the Cowboys in the 2017 draft, and after being waived, spent the season on the team’s practice squad. He was thought to have a good shot at making the roster this year following the departure of Orlando Scandrick, but this puts a real crimp in those plans.

It had been a relatively quiet offseason until Irving and Williams got into trouble, and now White is the latest Cowboy to generate headlines for all the wrong reasons. It is likely that the team knew about this, since the report states that the indictment happened last month. We will update the story as more comes out.

UPDATE: Mike Fisher has the charges involved.

FURTHER UPDATE: Statement from White.
