One oddsmaker believes Cowboys winning NFC East is least likely outcome for them in 2018

Agree or nah?

NFL: Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

We’re quickly approaching the beginning of the NFL season which means one thing... all of the preseason odds for various levels of success will be locked in.

We’ve discussed different odds given to the Cowboys chances for varying levels of success this year, but one oddsmaker has provided a new and interesting twist. BetOnline.ag has provided odds for the Cowboys (and the rest of the NFL) as far as their likelihood to finish at every place in the NFC East.

Dallas Cowboys

2nd Place +175

3rd Place +240

4th Place +350

1st Place +350

New York Giants

3rd Place +175

4th Place +200

2nd Place +300

1st Place +500

Philadelphia Eagles

1st Place -150

2nd Place +225

3rd Place +600

4th Place +1600

Washington Redskins

4th Place +100

3rd Place +225

2nd Place +450

1st Place +800

This is definitely an interesting way to look at this as it provides us with odds for the Cowboys at each spot within the division standings. These oddsmakers actually believe it’s more likely that the Cowboys will finish third in the NFC East than it is that they will win the whole thing/be last.

Does this reflect our own thoughts on the 2018 Cowboys? Do we all think it’s more likely that they’d finish behind two teams than that they’d be first-best or first-worst?

It’s a fascinating question to ask, and if you want to answer now there are odds attached to how you want to feel.
