NFL: Dallas Cowboys-Training Camp Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Cowboys were back on the practice field today after having a day off on Friday. The team is prepping for their annual Blue/ White Scrimmage on Sunday. This morning’s walk-through was lighthearted but we got some hints on what today’s evening practice would focus on:

There will be a lot of goal line work in the highlights today as it will be the emphasis of today’s work:

A few notes about here about who will and won’t be participating:

To be clear, Sean Lee isn’t hurt, he’s been calling the defense from the sideline but the Cowboys want to be deliberate with him and not risk wear and tear.

A couple of Cowboys receivers will treated with extra caution:

There was a receiver who made his return to practice:

There was also a new/old face back at training camp just a few days after being released:

And...here...we...go!

Here’s a look at Noah Brown’s return to wide receiver drills:

Speaking of receivers, the two standout receivers, Cole Beasley and Michael Gallup, were doing more of the same:

Cole Beasley just carving them up out there:

Bo Scarbrough shaking his man in compete period:

Ezekiel Elliott knifing through the defense on the first play:

Dak Prescott tagging along on the Ezekiel Elliott run:

Pet Cat Alert!! Charvarius Ward picks off the pass intended for Michael Gallup:

Don’t worry Dave, somebody got it. Wowza!

Here’s some more highlights from compete period:

Zack Martin setting the tone on offense, it could get chippy fairly soon:

Taco Charlton giving Chaz Green all he can handle:

Part II of Taco versus Green:

And... here comes the fight! Antwuan Woods picked on the wrong All-Pro center, Travis Frederick:

The mood is certainly tense out there and Zack Martin took it out on the Cowboys’ best pass rusher:

Tank Lawrence decides to go low on La’el Collins and gets finished real quick:

A great rep here for Tyrone Crawford against the NFL’s best left tackle in Tyron Smith. That’s some relentless effort by a much leaner Crawford:

Goal Line Time!

First play, Bo knows the end zone!

That would be the first-team offense’s only win against the defense:

Kris Richard is the heartbeat behind this young defense, he’s their hype man:

Alright, last chance, second-team!

Gary Brown celebrates for his guys:

You can add another name to the punt return auditions, cornerback Duke Thomas:

Dak Prescott connecting deep with Tavon Austin is starting to become an every day occurrence:

Another staple of camp is just to get the ball to Ezekiel Elliott whenever there’s the opportunity:

It’s not a vintage Terrance Williams catch if there isn’t a little toe dragging going on:

Oh wow! Cole Beasley has been uncoverable up to this point but Jaylon Smith had something else in mind:

CB Charvarius Ward has shined today, here he is breaking up the intended pass to Lance Lenoir:

Now, Ward says give me Tavon... SUCCESS!

Well, Cooper Rush’s placement wasn’t terrible but it could have been better.

Another bad ending to practice for Dan Bailey, who has missed five attempts in eight practices. Hopefully, he gets back on track.

That was all for practice today but tomorrow’s scrimmage should be pretty interesting. At the end of practice today, Jason Garrett decided to jump in on the conditioning drills:
