It’s Week 2 of the NFL season and Dez Bryant might have more burner accounts than he does spots an NFL team, but he also might have more hangouts with Jerry Jones happening as well.
While the Cowboys won’t make their 2018 debut at AT&T Stadium until this Sunday a different worldwide empire performed there on Tuesday night - Beyonce. That’s right, the On The Run Tour II rolled through Arlington and as you can imagine many people from the DFW area were there. Plenty of Cowboys players even posted photos from being there themselves.
There was one former Cowboy in the building though, and we’re not talking about somebody who’s playing days are well behind them (well, we don’t think we are). Dez Bryant was at AT&T Stadium for the Beyonce concert and he was sitting next to Jerry Jones of all people.
It appears @Dezbryant was very much in the building hanging with @djkhaled and Jerry Jones last night. (shoutout to @Wagaknack for the Jerry photo) pic.twitter.com/NPinBkGhml

This is the internet which means anything is possible so there was some understandable questioning as to how real this was or wasn’t. The photo with DJ Khaled (these are very wild times) helps corroborate the idea that Dez was in fact there as does the fact that he retweeted this tweet of 105.3 The Fan’s Mike Fisher.
Jerry Jones has famously championed his admiration for Dez Bryant so it’s not inconceivable that they would partake in pleasantries with one another. Beyonce is definitely pleasant. It’s definitely a bit weird to see what with the whole fact that Jerry Jones was part of the Cowboys braintrust that chose to release Dez Bryant, but maybe bygones can simply be bygones.
As noted Dez Bryant remains a free agent in the NFL despite the season’s beginning a week ago. While he was enjoying Tuesday night with Jerry Jones he might soon be headed to the east coast. He recently publicly petitioned why this would make sense for him, too.
Dez and Jerry were hanging out but a source tells me he was letting other people at the concert know he's probably going to New England. #Cowboys #Patriots #Dez https://t.co/Sj2jLCKbXk

Perhaps the weirdest part of this hangout isn’t that Dez Bryant was released by the Cowboys but that Dez Bryant has publicly ripped the Cowboys on more than one occasion since it happened. Dez took a flamethrower to those he felt ousted him in Dallas, a diatribe that included Scott Linehan, Travis Frederick, and Sean Lee who he referred to as a snake.
What do you think Jerry and Dez were talking about?
