There weren’t any real real surprises for the Cowboys as far as injuries go today. The first injury report is out after their practice for the Detroit Lions, and it’s just as we expected. Both Sean Lee and Maliek Collins did not particpate.

Lee is reportedly going to be out for a while with his injured hamstring. Jaylon Smith and Leigthon Vander Esch take on much bigger roles in this defense with Lee absent. Not only from a physical, tackling standpoint, but in leading the defense and getting the correct calls made.
Collins is out with a knee injury, it’s unclear if he’ll practice this week. The Cowboys have made a couple of moves at defensive tackle recently, they had to put Datone Jones on IR so they signed Caraun Reid to the 53-man roster and added Christian Ringo to the practice squad.
Cole Beasley was limited, but he was the same last week and he played, and played pretty well. Injured int he Seattle game were Jeff Heath and Antwaun Woods, both were limited in practice today. Both DeMarcus Lawrence and Xavier Woods show up on the injury report but both were full participants today.
As always, Travis Fredrick did not practice.
The big name injured for the Lions is Ezekiel Ansah, who has been out for a couple of weeks and did’t practice again today with a shoulder injury.
