It’s been an active weekend for the Cowboys, as the team builds its 53-man roster ahead of its week-one battle with the Panthers in Charlotte. Earlier today, we saw the Packers grab running back Darius Jackson off of Dallas’ practice squad; then, the Cowboys decided to ink their seventh-round selection, Bo Scarbrough, in Jackson’s place.

The Cowboys also placed Noah Brown on IR, while officially signing Deonte Thompson to the 53. With the receivers and running backs being sorted, Dallas has now made some moves along its defensive line.
Datone Jones joins Brown on the injured reserve, while Brian Price rejoins the team after being waived earlier in the weekend, reports Clarence Hill of The Star-Telegram.

Jones played in four games for the Cowboys in 2017, where he totaled nine combined tackles. The defensive tackle missed the entire preseason with a knee injury, hence the move to IR for the former first-rounder out of UCLA.
Price, meanwhile, appeared in eight contests for Dallas last season, recording eight tackles from the defensive tackle position. The 6-foot-3, 303-pound UTSA product is a quality 1-tech for the Cowboys while possessing some intriguing pass-rushing traits.
With David Irving missing the first four games of the season and Maliek Collins returning from a foot injury, Dallas desperately needs the interior of the defensive line to step up.
