Roster update: Cowboys place Parker Ehinger on injured reserve, bring back Kadeem Edwards

The Cowboys are still updating their roster.

It was just over a week ago that the Dallas Cowboys traded cornerback Charvarius Ward to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for offensive lineman Parker Ehinger. Unfortunately, Parker’s season with the Cowboys is effectively over as he’s been placed on injured reserve.

The Cowboys are bringing back offensive lineman Kadeem Edwards to take the now-open spot on their roster, but this is certainly not ideal. The offensive line feels like it’s been riddled with injuries all the way from the top down to the bottom, and you never want to have this happen to someone in general, let alone to someone you just acquired.

We applauded (rightfully so, none of this changes that) the Cowboys flipping Ward for depth where they needed it along the offensive line. It’s certainly frustrating to look back on in hindsight because Ehinger is now on injured reserve, but the Cowboys utilized a surplus to their benefit. Unfortunately things took a twisted turn before the regular season even began.
