A few #Panthers players jogging back on the field... Probably a good sign, regarding the delay. @NBCDFW @1053thefan pic.twitter.com/hAN212sqiX

The season opener for the Dallas Cowboys against the Carolina Panthers went into a weather delay before the game even started.
PA announcer just asked all fans at Bank of America Stadium to leave their seats... It’s officially a lightning delay... @NBCDFW @1053thefan pic.twitter.com/YaZwlizPGl

We don’t know at this point how long the delay will be. If there is rain during the game, it may favor the Cowboys and their running game with Ezekiel Elliott. The forecast has indicated that severe weather may be spotty, with isolated showers the main threat, so hopefully the delay will not go too long. It is mainly about lightning instead of rain for now.
However, we will stay on top of things as we wait for the season opener for the Cowboys. This is the debut of Randy Gregory after his long suspension form the league, of course. We also know that Rico Gathers is inactive, which will disappoint many fans. And how the offensive line holds up with Joe Looney is going to be a big thing to watch.
Hopefully, this is not going to delay things for long. Use the comments section here until we get things started to add your thoughts about the game.
Football is almost here, just a little behind schedule.
