There is officially only one game left in this NFL season, Super Bowl LIII.
Well, technically there are actually two games left as the Pro Bowl will take place this weekend. The league’s annual All-Star game isn’t exactly appointment viewing but it’s a great honor for those that get to participate. There will be a lot of Dallas Cowboys participating especially with the coaching staff manning the NFC side, and now they will have two more members of America’s Team. Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper are joining the NFC’s Pro Bowl roster.
Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper have been named to the NFC Pro Bowl roster, replacing both Drew Brees and Michael Thomas. Cowboys now have 6 players again along with the coaching staff. #cowboyswire— Nick Eatman (@nickeatman) January 22, 2019
When the Pro Bowl rosters were originally announced the Cowboys had five players chosen (Zack Martin, Tyron Smith, Ezekiel Elliott, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Byron Jones). Leighton Vander Esch was later added as an alternate, Zack and Tyron opted to miss the game due to injuries, so Dak and Amari puts us back at the number of Super Bowls we seek.
It says a lot that Amari Cooper was able to make the Pro Bowl after getting traded midseason and playing his first game with the Cowboys in the month of November. What he did this season was special and it’s great to see him getting some kudos for it.
