Trolling The Nation for Seahawks @ Cowboys: “Seattle is dying in Dallas.”

New, comments

Re-live the game against the Seahawks as you read what other fans had to say as they watched the Cowboys advance in the playoffs.

NFL: NFC Wild Card-Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Here’s your chance to relive what fans of other NFL teams were thinking while they were watching the Cowboys crush the Seahawks souls - via the comments made by those fans while watching the game.

All the quotes below are taken directly from the open game threads from the SB Nation team sites as indicated in front of every comment. Some minor edits have been made to improve the overall legibility of the quotes and to satisfy the site guidelines of our board, some judicious editing has of course taken place, but no other changes have been made, no commentary added.

Pre-Game and First Quarter
Steelers My heart is black and filled with hate. Screw these playoffs.

Raiders Irritatingly, Cooper has played well since the trade. I would not be surprised if he has a 10-catch, 100-yard day.

Seahawks Why do I feel so much anxiousness for this game?
Posted by Joe Rafferty on Jan 5, 2019 | 7:50 PM
Because the Cowboys are a pretty good team, it's a playoff game, and if Seattle loses the season is over. I think anyone who isn’t nervous about this game either isn’t really committed or is delusional.
Posted by Gromky on Jan 5, 2019 | 7:51 PM
Because you probably watched the Cowboys vs Saints game.

Bears That's insane - Cowboys fans running in for the standing room only area. And someone fell down. Stupid
Posted by Bear Guy on Jan 5, 2019 | 7:53 PM
Eagles I hope Dallas loses a close game or gets blown out. It would suck to see the Cowboys advance
Posted by TheFranchiseWentz on Jan 5, 2019 | 7:53 PM
I have a bad feeling……… just saying.
Posted by Borg_Queen on Jan 5, 2019 | 7:55 PM
I have a bad feeling too. Dallas has shown up in almost every game they’re supposed to lose. They beat the Saints! Not seeing Dallas advance would ease the pain a bit tomorrow if we don’t win.

Eagles Ugh, feeling like Dallas might win tonight. Just how this darn season has gone, and I wouldn’t be surprised by another disappointment.
Posted by Santa Deserved It on Jan 5, 2019 | 8:16 PM
49ers I seriously don’t know what I’m rooting for here. I’m just going to have to enjoy the fact one of them is guaranteed to lose.
Posted by Germinator on Jan 5, 2019 | 8:17 PM
Seahawks Interesting. Prescott killed that to a playaction rollout. 90% of the time, kills are runs, and Prescott doesn't have a lot of freedom to call audibles. Might be worth watching.

Posted by Shaken Not Stirred on Jan 5, 2019 | 8:50 PM

Jets Kris Richard sure looks like he’s had that defense prepped for this game.
Posted by Fade-away on Jan 5, 2019 | 8:51 PM
Panthers Surprise, surprise, Seattle players injuring other players in the playoffs. Did you guys see that tackle? He knew exactly what he was doing folding the guy backwards and putting his knee in the back of his legs. Our coach used to warn all of us wide receivers about how dirty corners and safeties would tackle certain ways to try and hurt you. I’m sure he didn’t "intend" to snap his ankle but I guarantee his intent was to do "some" damage if possible.
Posted by jmarcuzb on Jan 5, 2019 | 8:51 PM
Eagles I don't mind Crop Top Ewok or Fumbly McCheckdown getting some confidence. I don’t like seeing their defense gaining confidence though.
Posted by Gray527 on Jan 5, 2019 | 8:52 PM

Eagles What is this garbage Apple commercial? Oompa Loompa music?
Posted by Kwahu on Jan 5, 2019 | 9:09 PM

Saints Ankle twisting: Anyone else noticed how much ankle twisting Seattle is doing? I’m not saying they intentionally hurt Hurns, but there were 2 direct injuries to Hurns and Beasley, and one on the sideline with Cooper where he limped off after being tackled with his ankle. Also did it to Zeke on a short run (and one of Dallas lineman got in the guy’s face for it). And I’ve noticed a few other tackles where they grab hold of the ankles and give a little twist at the end.
