It’s never good when a player gets injured in the middle of the week, but that’s the current situation as Randall Cobb was unable to practice today with a back injury. No real word on the severity yet but he was officially listed as not participating in today’s practice.
He joins offensive tackles Tyron Smith and La’el Collins as DNP’s today, making their participation in the game dependent on what happens tomorrow. The Cowboys could be entering the game on Sunday with Cam Fleming and Brandon Knight as their starting tackles.
Leighton Vander Esch also missed practice again today with an illness, but if he can recover and practice tomorrow, he could be available for the game against the Jets.
Amari Cooper, Tyrone Crawford and Zack Martin were once again limited in practice but the expectations is that all three would play. The good news is that Antwaun Woods is back as a full participant in practice meaning he is likely to return to the defensive line on Sunday.
Randall Cobb left practice today with what they’re describing as a back injury. No bueno.
