The most popular show on television since football season started is the Dallas Cowboys

America’s Team, still.

The NFL season is six weeks old which means there are already tons of games behind us.

Thankfully there are more in front of us, but still having games in the rear-view mirror allows us to know some things. While what we know about the state of the Dallas Cowboys as a football team isn’t exactly the best right now, we know one thing that, well, we’ve known for a while. The world loves watching the Cowboys.

No matter what anybody says the Dallas Cowboys will always be America’s Team. How do we know this? There are merchandise sales that back this up, the fact that Dallas is literally the most valuable professional sports team in the world, and, of course, there’s the fact that everyone watches them.

That last part rings especially true right now. Since football season started the top 25 things that have been shown on television are NFL football games, and the top three specifically are, what do you know, Dallas Cowboys games!

The most-watched thing on television this fall was the loss that the Cowboys suffered at the hands of the Green Bay Packers. Their win against the New York Giants just edged their loss to the New Orleans Saints out for second place.

Both of the games against Green Bay and New York came in FOX’s top slot with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman on the call. Dallas visited New Orleans on NBC’s Sunday Night Football which is where they’ll be this week against the Philadelphia Eagles so you can expect to see them back here again.

Of course, the Cowboys have also been featured in the number one spot that CBS has to offer, in fact they were just there. Jim Nantz and Tony Romo were on the call for the latest Cowboys game, a loss on the road to the New York Jets, and that comes in as the eighth most-watched television event since the season started.

The Cowboys are 1-3 in these games, here’s hoping that they start to have more wins in general, but certainly more wins that everyone else gets to see.
