It’s been almost a year since the Dallas Cowboys were dealing with reported “attitude issues” regarding one of their defensive linemen.
That linemen was Taco Charlton who is now a member of the Miami Dolphins (a flourishing one, for what it’s worth). While the Cowboys did what they could to take care of that issue, it appears that a new one popped up with two other defensive linemen. It was reported on Thursday that both Antwaun Woods and Trysten Hill were sent home from Tuesday’s light practice for being late to meetings.
Cowboys DT Antwaun Woods and Trysten Hill will practice today. On Tuesday, they missed the team’s first on-field work following bye week. Were late to meetings that morning, so Jason Garrett sent them home.

Tuesday was the first time that the Cowboys got back to work (it was a light practice) since returning from the bye. It’s hardly a good look that two payers, one of them a veteran, were late for it.
While veteran players should indeed know better this is perhaps an even less ideal look for Trysten Hill. He’s a rookie after all and was the team’s first selection during the last draft.
The Trysten Hill selection has hardly been meaningful for the Cowboys through seven games on the season. When the team was considering trading for safety Jamal Adams, it had a lot of people wondering how different things could have been had Dallas just drafted someone like Juan Thornhill or Taylor Rapp.
Instead, they decided to take Trysten Hill who showed up late to the first meeting following a bye week. That stings.

Antwaun Woods provided a statement about this, both on social media and to the local media. Trysten Hill apparently declined to comment, not exactly a good look on top of what already wasn’t one.
I’ve been late less than 3 times in the last 9 years of football. College(5) & NFL (4). Y’all can chill .

Woods said he usually arrives at Star around 6:30a. He was late once in five years at USC. This was first time late in 4 NFL seasons. Missing practice hit home after he’s been cut before.

“If my team’s working,” he said, “I need to be working.”
Update: 4:15pm ET
It’s not uncommon for the Cowboys to have special guests come speak to the team. Jason Garrett likes to have other successful people speak to the team about various things.
Apparently, in one of those sessions that took place last Thursday, Trysten Hill fell asleep.
Hill embarrassed the Cowboys for being called out by NBA legend Isiah Thomas for falling a sleep in a meeting last Thursday and then was sent home by Jason Garrett for being late on Tuesday.

He missed his proverbial wake up call from last week https://t.co/IkMdFC9qHB
Unbelievable.
