Back in Week 1 of the 2019 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys hosted the New York Giants. That was a good day for Cowboys fans as the home team routed the visitors from New York by a score of 35-17. That was the first look at the Kellen Moore offense and it produced a level of high optimism for the fanbase.
The two NFC East rivals are back for round two on Monday Night Football, and since that first game the Cowboys have had some highs and lows. Coming off their bye week, they are 4-3 and still lead the NFC East. They most recently blasted the Philadelphia Eagles to restore some confidence after they fell into a three-game losing streak that culminated with an embarrassing loss to the New York Jets.
Dallas is getting healthy again, and are the favored team in the Monday night contest. But division games can be tricky, and they will be on the road, a place where their offense has bogged down on occasion. If Dallas wants to continue to believe they are a playoff team, they absolutely need to win this game.
