As we turn the page on the Cowboys game against the Vikings, we look ahead to a matchup with the Detroit Lions. In preparation for that game, the Cowboys convened for practice today and their injury list has grown since last week.

Six Cowboys players did not participate in today’s practice. As previously reported, Connor Williams had surgery on his knee and will miss a few games. Xavier Su’a-Filo will likely start in his place. Amari Cooper also did not practice as he continues to manage the injury to his knee. Based on his performance against the Vikings there is likely not much to worry about there.

One player to worry about is La’el Collins, he was a DNP today as knee and back issues are troubling the right tackle. Michael Bennetnewt also didn’t practice but his was not injury related. Cornerback and special teams ace C.J. Godwin was unavailable with a knee problem. Finally, guard Zack Martin sat out with a multiple problems that include knee, back and elbow injuries. His entire season has been a fight through injuries but he keeps managing to suit up each week.

Cameron Fleming was limited today, ending his weeks of not being able to practice or play. Jeff Heath, DeMarcus Lawrence and Antwaun Woods were also limited.

UPDATE: Matthew Stafford, as expected, did not practice today for the Lions.
