Dallas Cowboys fans got better news on Thursday when the injury report came out. After a day when six players were unable to practice, that number was whittled down to two. One of those, Connor Williams, will not be practicing anytime soon as he recovers from a arthroscopic knee operation.
La’el Collins was the other player unable to go today as he battles knee and back injuries. On the positive side of things, Amari Cooper, Zack Martin, C.J. Goodwin and Michael Bennett all returned to action. Bennett was dealing with a family issue yesterday and was a full participant today. Cooper, Martin and Goodwin were all limited today.
They were joined in the limited category by Cameron Fleming who is trying to make his way back on the field and could be called upon if Collins is unable to overcome his issues before game time.
Jeff Heath, DeMarcus Lawrence and Antwaun Woods were also limited for the second day in a row. It’s possible that Heath will not be ready this week meaning Darian Thompson will get more time with the starting defense.

The Lions also have a lengthy list of injuries, but the big one is Matthew Stafford and he was again unable to practice, meaning it’s very likely Jeff Driskel will be the starter on Sunday.
