We have finally reached another gameday for the Dallas Cowboys. On this particular Sunday they’ll be visiting the Detroit Lions in an effort to improve to 6-4 on the season. That quest was made all the easier on Friday when we learned that Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford will miss the game.
Friday also gave us information regarding a couple of Cowboys. While there were a few who popped up on the injury report throughout the week it was only La’el Collins and Jeff Heath that were listed as questionable for today’s game.
Saturday saw the Cowboys place Adam Redmond on injured reserve and promote safety Josh Jones from the practice squad. The team activating a safety one day before the game in Detroit seemed like an indicator of what was going to happen, and it definitely was. Jeff Heath is officially out for this game per NFL Network. La’el Collins will play.

Having La’el Collins available for this game is great news as you always want good offensive linemen to play and there’s a case to be made that La’el has been the best one on the team this season.
You’ll recall that last time the Cowboys visited Ford Field in Detroit that it was not Jeff Heath’s best day (somewhere, Calvin Johnson is smiling). Him missing time is not ideal as you never want to see players go down with injury, hopefully he heals up soon.
