We have all been waiting a long time to get the taste of losing to the Minnesota Vikings out of our moths, and the Cowboys finally have the opportunity today on the road against the Detroit Lions. With a 5-4 record, the Cowboys need every win that they can get. It certainly helps things that their main competition for the NFC East crown, the Philadelphia Eagles, host the New England Patriots today, but football is weird and you never know what is going to happen.
We’ve known since Friday that Matthew Stafford wouldn’t play for the Detroit Lions. We found out on Sunday morning that Jeff Heath will not play for the Dallas Cowboys. Who else will miss the game? Here is the full inactives list.
Dallas Cowboys inactives
- Jeff Heath
- Cedrick Wilson
- Devin Smith
- Connor Williams
- Joe Jackson
- Luke Gifford
- Trysten Hill
Detroit Lions inactives
- Matthew Stafford
- Da’Shawn Hand
- Rick Wagner
- Romeo Okwara
- Dan Skipper
- Beau Benzschawel
- Michael Jackson
There’s no question that Stafford is the biggest one in this game (although Skipper and Jackson are old friends of the Cowboys). We’ll see soon enough if the Cowboys are able to take advantage. They had similar advantages earlier in the season when they played the New Orleans Saints without Drew Brees, Green Bay Packers without Davante Adams, and Minnesota Vikings without Adam Thielen.
They lost all three of those games.
