How demanding is it to stop New England pieces
The Patriots are known for their ability to use different people in interesting ways. That’s going to be a tough thing for the Cowboys on Sunday and Jason Garrett acknowledged that.
Pats running back James White
James White specifically has been someone who New England has used quite effectively. Jason Garrett highlighted White’s effectiveness, speed, intelligence, and much more.
Amari Cooper’s health
Coach noted he had a good day of practice on Wednesday and they expect him to be out there today.
Idea of signature win
Asked if he believes there are wins that help build confidence for a team, Jason Garrett simply noted that he believes it’s important to lock in. There’s no question that beating the Patriots in their house would go a long way, but it’s hard to look at it through that lens.
Idea of energy towards end of season and making the playoffs
Asked if he feels that teams get a “pep in their step” when they can see a division title close, Jason Garrett simply said that he believes you have to show up and give effort from day one.
Stephon Gilmore
Stephen Gilmore might be the best cornerback in the National Football League. Jason Garrett acknowledged how great Gilmore can be and noted the Cowboys are going to need to be at their best to beat him. He complimented his size, speed, length, his ability to play man or zone, his discipline and his “stickiness.”
Byron Jones
Coach noted Jones has done a good job and is a good cover guy. He also said he prevents big plays and is a sure tackler. He commented about the lack of interceptions by noting that teams don’t throw his way very much.
