The Dallas Cowboys have won two games in a row for the first time since the first three games of the season, and considering they were both within the NFC East they were important victories.
America’s Team sits at 5-3 through half of their games this season, but having just played on Monday Night Football their week is short. This week’s game against the Minnesota Vikings is coming fast, and it’s coming with a lot of attention. For the third time in a row the Cowboys will be on national television as they’ll play on NBC’s Sunday Night Football for the second time in three games.
Dallas returns home looking for their sixth win and more success for star players Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, and Amari Cooper on offense. The Cowboys are managing to find ways for each of their triplets to succeed. For the fifth time this season the Cowboys won a game by scoring 30+ points, having 400+ yards, and by a double-digit margin. The most times that’s ever happened in a single season in franchise history is five, and the Cowboys still have half of their season left!
It won’t be easy to do that against the Minnesota Vikings, though. Kirk Cousins has been playing well this season and a lot of that is due to what’s around him. Stefon Diggs is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and Dalvin Cook is challenging for this season’s rushing title. It doesn’t look like Adam Thielen will play in this game, but former Cowboys staffer Mike Zimmer will surely find a way to make things competitive.
