The Dallas Cowboys have lost two games in a row and as a result people are starting to get pretty restless when it comes to America’s Team. Jason Garrett’s status as head coach seems shaky at best, the offense has only been able to score two touchdowns in their last eight quarters, and defensively things seem to fall apart at the worst time. A road trip to take on the Chicago Bears hardly sounds like fun, but if the Cowboys want to defend their NFC East crown, they’re going to have to find a way to get a win in the Windy City.
Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, and Amari Cooper are going to have to lead this offense if the team has any chance of getting out of this losing streak. Mitchell Trubisky is hardly an intimidating quarterback but the Cowboys defense is going to still need great performances from the likes of DeMarcus Lawrence, Jaylon Smith, and hopefully Leighton Vander Esch if he’s able to play.
The Cowboys are playing for everything at this point. If they’re unable to do something significant over the final quarter of the season there will likely be huge changes in the offseason. Thursday night in Chicago is huge.
