It’s officially hat and t-shirt week for the Dallas Cowboys. If they win on Sunday on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles, they will be NFC East Champions. That’s definitely worth playing for.
The NFC East, arguably the most historic division throughout the NFL, hasn’t seen a team win the title in consecutive seasons since the Philadelphia Eagles did it 15 years ago (they won four straight). Things have bounced between Dallas, Philly, New York, and Washington a number of times since then and even seen three Super Bowls victories (two by the Giants, one by the Eagles).
Of course, the quality of the division is much poorer these days as the Cowboys can win it with their eighth victory... in Week 15. Still, a win is a win and a playoff ticket is a playoff ticket and you can bet your bottom dollar that the likes of Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and more will be doing everything that they can to score enough points to give Dallas the win.
Philadelphia has some guys that will be trying to score, too. Quarterback Carson Wentz has been playing better as of late and while there are seemingly no real pass-catching options available for him at the moment, he has the always-reliable Zach Ertz to go to. This game is going to be epic in all likelihood but remember that Dallas has won four straight against the Eagles and never lost to them in a game that Ezekiel Elliott has played.
