It is seemingly all coming down to this. Cowboys at the Eagles for the NFC East crown. If the Cowboys win, they are in as NFC East Champs. If they lose, there is still a scenario where they can win the division in Week 17, but it’s certainly not something you want to count on. They really need to take care of business Sunday in Philadelphia.
After Sunday’s rout of the Rams, the Cowboys and their fans are certainly feeling better about things. The offense finally looked crisp and the run game was simply overpowering. The defense stepped up with some disciplined play and sure tackling. Even the special teams looked better as new kicker Kai Forbath drilled all eight of his scoring opportunities.
There is one lingering black cloud hanging over the Cowboys heads, and that’s the health of quarterback Dak Prescott. He hurt his throwing shoulder in the Rams game and it doesn’t look like he will practice much this week. All sources say he will play in the game, but will the injury limit his effectiveness?
We’ll find out on Sunday.
