There is at least one game remaining in the 2019 season for the Dallas Cowboys, and technically there could be more. Sunday’s focus for Cowboys fans actually involves two games and all four NFC East teams (both happening at the same time!).
The Cowboys will be playing host to the Washington Redskins and if they want to head to the playoffs they will have to do their part - something that’s been a struggle this season - and get a win. Dak Prescott had quite a game against Washington way back earlier in the season and you have to figure Ezekiel Elliott will play a large role as well. Amari Cooper has struggled over the last few games, but one of his biggest games last season came in the home contest against Washington.
Eyes will also be on the game between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles as the Cowboys need a win and an assist from the G-Men (they need to beat Philadelphia) if they don’t want this Sunday to be the last game of the season at AT&T Stadium. Should those two things happen then Dallas will be NFC East Champions, if they do not then it is officially draft season.
The likes of DeMarcus Lawrence, Jaylon Smith, and Robert Quinn should conceivably have success against Case Keenum since he’ll be starting in place of the injured Dwayne Haskins. That’s who the Cowboys drew in the first matchup against Washington, hopefully that’s a sign that the results will be the same.
