Free agency is moving right along and the Cowboys are focused on retaining their own players more than anything else. That’s a good way to roll when you have good players.
While Dallas said goodbye to slot receiver Cole Beasley they are not letting another receiver who’s capable of making some magic leave town as well. The Cowboys are reportedly bringing back Tavon Austin.

Austin only played in seven games for the Cowboys last season, but he flashed some serious potential at different times. With Beasley gone he also figures to be right in line to be the team’s primary return man on punts. There’s a lot to like about his game.
For what it’s worth, Austin is also somebody who’s presence is very valuable in the locker room. He’s been around the NFL and was a first-round pick so he took on a very obvious leadership role with the new group of receivers. It will be great to have him and his energy back for another season, the first full one with Amari Cooper.
