Dallas Cowboys fans got excited on Monday when word broke that safety Eric Berry would be visiting the team on Tuesday. With a need at safety this seemed like a move that would make a lot of sense for the Cowboys.

As of Tuesday afternoon, it appears as if there is nothing firm between Dallas and Berry, at least for now. According to Terez Paylor, Berry is off to visit some more teams.

This is hardly cause for concern. The Cowboys were Berry’s first visit and considering his skill and reputation, he likely is going to have multiple suitors. Just because players don’t sign with the first team they talk to doesn’t mean they won’t eventually, consider Allen Hurns a year ago as a prime example.

It was speculated all throughout Tuesday that Berry would indeed take multiple visits unless the Cowboys blew him away with an offer. Considering how they operate when it comes to free agency it isn’t a shock that that didn’t happen.

We continue to wait.
