With the signing of Randall Cobb, the Dallas Cowboys made their wide receiver group look a little bit more interesting. Cobb slides in for Cole Beasley like the idol in Indiana Jones and combined with Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, they make up a forceful starting unit.
Dallas also re-signed Tavon Austin this offseason so they have some sneaky depth at the position. They also have Allen Hurns who was signed an offseason ago to a two-year deal.
Hurns suffered a horrific ankle injury during the playoff win against the Seattle Seahawks, but thankfully all signs point to him making a solid recovery in the health department. As mentioned, he is under contract for next season but according to Clarence Hill from the FWST, Dallas wants to slice off a bit of his salary.
Drew Rosenhaus says the Cowboys have not approached him about a reduction in salary for Allen Hurns. But per a source, it is only a matter of time. The Cowboys plan to do so

Hurns has a cap hit of $6.25M in 2019 and a base salary of $4M. Dallas already had some success in the pay cut department with linebacker Sean Lee who is coming back for his 10th go around. Could they have the same luck with Hurns?
