Earlier today, we posted an interview we had just done with Cowboys linebacker Justin March-Lillard. That turned out to be fortuitous timing as it was recently announced that March-Lillard has re-signed with the Cowboys.
Along with safety Darian Thompson, the Cowboys have re-signed linebacker Justin March-Lillard. Core special teams player who ranked fifth on the team in coverage tackles last year. #cowboyswire

Like the deal for Darian Thompson earlier today, March-Lillard signed a one-year deal to return to Dallas instead of testing the free agent market. And like Thompson, March-Lillard is a core member of the Cowboys special teams unit. He participated in over 45% of the special teams snaps on the year, and was credited with the fifth-most coverage tackles for the team.
The deal is likely in the same neighborhood of the $630,000 base salary he played under last season, perhaps with a small bump. He will also provide depth at linebacker behind Leighton Vander Esch and Jaylon Smith, especially with the future of Sean Lee in question. Now that March-Lillard will be around for another year, it would be a good time to check out his interview with us if you haven’t already.
