The Cowboys have had a busy last few days. They have re-signed some of their in-house free agents ahead of the free agency frenzy that is set to begin next week. According the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Cowboys have re-signed defensive lineman Daniel Ross to a one-year deal.
The #Cowboys have signed DT Daniel Ross to a 1-year deal, source said. Solid depth piece in Dallas.

Ross has spent the last two seasons with the Cowboys and finished the season out strong in 2018. In his two seasons with the Cowboys, Ross has recorded two sacks, 19 tackles, nine quarterback hits, and five tackles for loss in 16 games. While this isn’t a “sexy” signing by the team, the Cowboys were able to add some depth to their defensive line ahead of free agency and the NFL draft.
Ross played last year with a base salary of $550,000. He’s likely getting a bump this year but still will be a very cheap signing.
We will soon see if they will add some top end talent to the position via free agency or the draft.
