We’ve finally reached the point in the 2019 NFL Draft where the Cowboys are going to make some selections. On day two they’ve got picks number 58 and 90. That’s enough to make some noise.
It’s so hard to know who the Cowboys will take because we have a good chunk of picks to go between now and then. While there are a lot of possibilities, NFL Network’s Jane Slater dropped three names that are all likely if not probable (assuming nothing crazy happens). Two for pick 58 and one for 90.
Little informal discussion ahead of the draft. I’m no Nostradamus, scout or GM just what I’ve been told while doing my pre-draft prep #NFLDraftDay pic.twitter.com/qPZj7AAmiV

Slater notes that the Cowboys would “love” to nab Virginia safety Juan Thornhill, but that they feel the likelihood of him still being there is very low. She then explains that Central Florida defensive tackle Trysten Hill is someone whom Rod Marinelli has developed quite a liking for.
Hill could be the 3-technique that the Cowboys currently need, but he doesn’t carry the crush value that Thornhill does in the eyes of most fans. Whoever the Cowboys do take with their first selection, Slater mentions that we should be on the lookout for Alabama running back Damien Harris as an option for Dallas in the third round. Ezekiel Elliott needs help after all.
All of these names have been mocked to the Cowboys by one person or another. They’re ones that have been strong possibilities for some time, it appears that is only growing in the eleventh hour.
