Bill Belichick Could Win Multiple SBs With Dak Prescott

The greatest NFL coach of all time, Bill Belichick, won two world championships with Tom Brady in his first three years as a starting quarterback. It helped considerably, that Brady had greatness in him from the start.

Few would argue that Brady isn’t the greatest QB to ever play the game. He has the most wins and the most Super Bowls, it’s a pretty ridiculous argument to say otherwise.

So what’s up with the title of this article? Purely click bait?

Not really. Keeping in mind that Brady had the luxury of playing for the greatest NFL coach of all time, let’s compare Brady’s first three years as an NFL starter with Dak Prescott’s.

And while we look over these stats, please keep in mind that Dak had Garrett as a head coach and Scott Linehan as an OC—neither of whom seem likely to be headed for Canton.

I’m not going to do a table, because I’m not good at them in this format. I will simply come right out and shock you with these facts:

All of the Following Statements Are True About Dak Prescott’s
and Tom Brady’s First Three Years As Starting NFL QBs:

Dak Prescott had more passing yards than Tom Brady

Dak threw fewer interceptions than Tom Brady.

Dak had a lower interception percentage than Tom Brady.

Dak had more rushing yards than Tom Brady

Dak had a better completion percentage than Tom Brady

Dak had more rushing TDs than Tom Brady

Dak averaged more yards per passing attempt than Tom Brady

Dak engineered more game-winning drives than Tom Brady

Dak produced 85 total TDs, running and passing (running:18, passing 67)--significantly more than Tom Brady, who produced 71 TDs (running: 2, passing: 69)

And this is why I say Belichick could win multiple Super Bowls with Dak Prescott as his quarterback.

Because Belichick won two Super Bowls with Brady in his first three years, at a time when Brady was putting up inferior numbers compared to Dak Prescott’s first three years.

And again, keep in mind, Dak did this with Scott Linehan as his OC and Jason Garrett as his head coach.

Belichick would win Super Bowls with this current Cowboys team. The offense is now stocked and defense is playing at a very high level.

The Dak critics out there need to take a good, hard look at all those metrics where Dak out-performed Brady. Brady continued to improve. Dak can also continue to improve. Really sound footwork improves accuracy and footwork can be improved.

And this is a huge emphasis this off season for Dak. You factor in the new scheme, the new weapons, more creativity, less predictability—and it seems reasonable to assume Dak will make great strides this season.
