It’s almost here! The Dallas Cowboys depart for training camp in Oxnard, California on Thursday, July 25th, hold the opening press conference on July 26th, then start practices on Saturday. Here is the schedule they have released:

This is a bit of a different year, as the second preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams will be held at Aloha Stadium in Hawaii, with the Oxnard portion of camp ending before they fly west. It should be a nice trip for the players, who will undoubtedly get in a little beach time before they play and then fly back home. The schedule for the Frisco portion of camp following that has not been announced.
For the more committed followers of the team, this is a handy guide for when you can get on Twitter or check the live streams from DallasCowboys.com. The team will take the next big step when they finally don pads (the first practice or two will likely be in helmets and shorts, based on past camps). Those contact practices will tell us a lot about just where this team is, and how individuals like Travis Frederick are doing. And of course, the main attraction: CAMP BATTLES!
