Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 1

Dak Prescott had quite the opener.

Dak Prescott had himself quite the day last Sunday.

Against the New York Giants in the season opener, Dak Prescott completed 25 of his 32 passes for 405 yards and four touchdowns. That’s a stat line that most quarterbacks would take and not look back.

It’s actually such an impressive performance that the NFL recognized it as the best one across the NFC. Prescott was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 1. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson won it in the AFC.

Both Prescott and Jackson were under the microscope in Week 1, and their performances might have changed some of the perception of who they are as quarterbacks. But, in the NFL, you have to get back out and do it the following week.

Dak Prescott is obviously in the middle of contract negotiations with the Cowboys so he would like to keep the good times rolling. Congratulations to Dak and let’s hope the best is yet to come.
