The final injury report for the Dallas and Washington game has arrived and gives us a clearer view of who will be able to play on Sunday.
As was mentioned earlier in the day, Tavon Austin was not expected to practice today with concussion symptoms. That came to pass and Austin has been ruled out of the game. He joins Luke Gifford as the only two Cowboys players ruled out of action on Sunday. Austin plays a role on special teams as a punt returner as well as a reserve receiver. His absence might force the Cowboys to call up Cedrick Wilson.
Tavon Austin was absent from practice again today, and Cedrick Wilson was working pretty extensively on special teams stuff.— David Helman (@HelmanDC) September 13, 2019
Not 100% sure, but it seems like a good bet he gets called up for this game.
Tyrone Crawford was upgraded to a full participant today which seems like a great sign that he will be full-go for the game.
For the first time all season, Zack Martin was listed as a full participant on Friday. That can be taken as a positive that his back problems might be in the rearview mirror.
The Cowboys will also have options at safety as both Donovan Wilson and Darian Thompson were full participants. Sean Lee didn’t practice but that is by design as he seems to be getting a veteran’s day off every Friday.
Tavon Austin and Luke Gifford are out, but everyone else looks good to go. Again, Sean Lee’s DNP is not injury-related.— David Helman (@HelmanDC) September 13, 2019
For Washington, Quinton Dunbar did not practice again today. His status is questionable. pic.twitter.com/0OLXZCD8fA
Washington's injury situation is much worse as DT Jonathan Allen and TE Jordan Reed have both been ruled out. Allen is a key part of the Washington run defense and Reed has had big days against the Cowboys. CB Fabian Moreau is doubtful and CB Quentin Dunbar is questionable. RB Derrius Guice had previously been ruled out after he had surgery on his knee.
