There have been a lot of reports lately surrounding Dallas Cowboys third-year defensive end Taco Charlton. Well, we’ll see how long he’s a part of the Cowboys.
Dallas took Taco in the first round back in 2017 and ever since then he’s failed to really deliver like a first-round pick. Plenty have grown frustrated with Charlton during his time in Dallas and it doesn’t help that he has yet to be active this season.
Taco has decided to start speaking out apparently in the middle of trade talks surrounding him. On Sunday morning it was reported that he asked for a trade over the offseason and on Monday afternoon he tweeted about his status. He said “free me” which seems to be a message to the Cowboys to move him somewhere else.
Taco Charlton deleted his “free me” tweet from Monday afternoon.

It’s hard to know exactly what the Cowboys could get in return for Charlton. He did perform well in the preseason but his resume over the last two seasons is also a relevant factor.
Do you think the Cowboys will “free” Taco soon?
Update: 2:25pm ET
Taco had another tweet after this one where he acknowledged context of the full quote regarding what Stephen Jones said, but he inferred that what Stephen said on Monday isn’t what Taco’s agent was told.
I appreciate the context but he told my representation the real reason for everything so all this is just BS to me 4real.
