The Cowboys as a team look a little bit different than last week. Dallas finally made a move with Taco Charlton and released the former first-round pick in order to make room for Robert Quinn. Charlton had yet to be active in 2019 and Quinn is ready to assume his starting position after an injury and suspension kept him out of the beginning of the season.
Jason Garrett caused a little bit of a stir earlier today when he said that safety Xavier Woods might do “something” in practice today even though it’s been reported he has a high ankle sprain. Turns out, Woods did not practice today. Both Darian Thompson and Donovan Wilson were full participants today, and one of them will likely be called on to play a role on defense in Sunday’s game.
Also missing practice were Antwaun Woods and Tyrone Crawford, two more pieces along the defensive line. The Cowboys were missing two receivers; Michael Gallup will be out for a few weeks at minimum, and Tavon Austin is trying to recover from a concussion.
Additionally, reserve linebacker Luke Gifford was out.
