Cowboys @ Saints injury report: No practice for Zack Martin, Amari Cooper limited

Kickoff is three days away.

NFL: Miami Dolphins at Dallas Cowboys Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

This has been a slightly stressful week for Cowboys fans as things like Amari Cooper getting an MRI (which came back negative) and Zack Martin not practicing have happened, but such is life in the NFL.

Dallas will be on the road against the New Orleans Saints this week on Sunday Night Football and it’s possible that they have Xavier Woods back for the contest. He was limited in Thursday’s practice with the likes of Tavon Austin, Amari Cooper, Kavon Frazier, and Luke Gifford, but other than that there weren’t any real surprises.

Obviously the headliner here is Zack Martin and his potential status but again, we don’t really know enough to freak out at this point. Dallas has been cautious with the best guard in the NFL and this certainly feels like that.

Kavon Frazier, who has new representation by the way, having the Achilles issue certainly isn’t ideal but the Cowboys would be set at safety if Xavier Woods returns to the fold. Darian Thompson played well last week and there’s always Jeff Heath.

The final day of practice should tell us more about what to expect from Xavier Woods and obviously we’ll be waiting to see if Zack Martin returns.
