The Cowboys and Saints played a big game last year, and the Dallas win, 13-10, helped establish last year’s team as a contender. Things are a little different this year as the Saints are entering the game without their star quarterback, Drew Brees. In his place is backup Teddy Bridgewater.
The priority for the Cowboys in this game will be Alvin Kamara. If they can contain him close to the way they did last year, their new-found, high-powered offense should be enough to do the job. Michael Thomas is also a threat for the Cowboys defense, but Kamara is the engine that powers the offense.
The Cowboys hope that Dak Prescott, Kellen Moore and Co. can keep things going against a Saints defense that has had some problems this year. Dallas has incredible balance between their running game and their passing game making it hard for a defense to take away one thing. The Cowboys have a few nagging injuries to deal with that could affect the offense.
