Injuries are part of life in the National Football League, every team has to deal with them.
The Cowboys are currently operating without a handful of starters and have managed to remain undefeated through three games. They’ve seemingly caught a break on the injury front as they’ll draw the New Orleans Saints without star quarterback Drew Brees on Sunday night, but their Big Easy opponent is going to get help elsewhere.
It was reported on Sunday morning that Saints defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins is expected to make his season debut on Sunday. Get ready to rock.
Barring a setback in pre-game warmups, #Saints DT Sheldon Rankins (Achilles) is expected to make his season debut against the #Cowboys. A potential big lift for the defense.

Rankins tore his Achilles during the Saints’ divisional round playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles last season and has been working his way back ever since. He’s been limited on every injury report for this week’s matchup and it seems as if he’s finally ready to go.
The Cowboys are fortunate to have one of the NFL’s best offensive lines. While Rankins will likely need to knock some rust off he’s still going to be a challenge.
