You know that real football is close at hand when they start issuing injury reports. So it is as the Cowboys will host the New York Giants this Sunday. The Cowboys had plenty of nagging injuries in preseason and some stars that were coming off surgeries. The good news is that most of them seem to be back at full speed. The injury report for Wednesday only has one major star who wasn’t at full speed and that is Zack Martin who is still recovering from a back issue. Martin was limited in practice so we still don’t have a clear read on his health.

But other stars like Amari Cooper, Tyron Smith, DeMarcus Lawrence and Byron Jones were all full participants in today’s practice. Tyrone Crawford and Sean Lee were also full go.

The Cowboys got some good news at tight end as both Blake Jarwin and Dalton Schultz were able to go at full speed. The position were the Cowboys have an issue with the backups is at safety. Both Darian Thompson and Donovan Wilson were unable to participate leaving that area thin. Linebacker Luke Gifford was also a DNP.

And, of course, Ezekiel Elliott did participate in today’s practice.
