The first game of the Cowboys 2019 season is right around the corner and with it comes a new slate. It’s an exciting time for fans as the team attempts to take the next step and get past the divisional round of the playoffs. With a great cast of players and a revamped coaching staff, it should be interesting to see how all of this plays out in 2019.
With a new season, comes a lot of questions as we collectively hold our breath as the Cowboys make a run at a title. When you have questions, we try to have answers. Each week, BTB will tweet our requests for you to ask us anything you want. Maybe you’re unsure if you should still wear socks with sandals (you shouldn’t). Maybe your cat is giving you dirty looks lately and you don’t understand why (you need to change the litter box). Some of these thing we can help you with, others... not so much. When it comes to Cowboys stuff, we will certainly do our best.
Let’s get to this week’s questions...

Danny Phantom: Cameron comes out of the gate firing with a great question. Honestly, this is something we are all anxiously awaiting. During the preseason, we saw a few things with motioning guys and the use of certain players, but it was rather vanilla. How will things look when the games count for real?
It’s hard to know how good this new-look Giants defense will be this season. They’ve endured a lot of big changes as players like Olivier Vernon, Landon Collins, and Damon Harrison are all gone. Instead, they have a new cast of players that features a couple free agents from Arizona, Markus Golden and Antoine Bethea, a trade throw-in from the OBJ deal in Jabrill Peppers, and a couple promising rookies like Dexter Lawrence and DeAndre Baker.
I don’t know that Moore will target any one area as the Cowboys will try to beat them in different ways, but this Giants team has a lot of new faces in new places and Moore will find their weaknesses. So much in fact, that it’s going to be clearly evident that Scott Linehan is no longer running the offense.
Look for Dak Prescott to find Tony Pollard, Randall Cobb, and Blake Jarwin in space. Remember, the last time the Cowboys faced the Giants, this happened:

Danny Phantom: The Cowboys traded for Amari Cooper to be the no. 1 WR the offense needs, but the team hasn’t been able to use him to his full potential. When Cooper has had at least 60 yards receiving the Cowboys win. Unfortunately, that’s only happened in four of the nine games he’s played in. The Cowboys are 3-2 when he’s under 60 yards. Despite the investment, he hasn’t been as involved as regularly as he should be.
Coming off a heel injury, it’s tough to say what Cooper will give them in Week 1, but one guy who we should keep an eye on is second-year receiver Michael Gallup. He’s had a great camp and you can see that the chemistry continues to grow between he and Dak Prescott. Don’t be surprised if Gallup continues riding hot and leads the team in receptions this week.
