Despite having what are not exactly the most promising playoff odds in the eyes of professionals, the Dallas Cowboys are a group that many people are high on.
The truth about this roster is that it is extremely talented, and it is very deep. Such has not really been the case for America’s Team in quite some time.
It can be argued that this is the best collection of talent to step on the field for the Cowboys since the 2007 season and we all know how that ended (ironically with a relation to Cabo as 2019 begins). The Cowboys legitimately have the potential to win double-digit games and be knocking on the door come January. At least we hope so, right?
SB Nation’s FanPulse tool calculates how Cowboys fans are feeling about any given topic. We’re constantly tracking “confidence” of Cowboys fans (you can join FanPulse right here by the way) and confidence is just about as high as it’s been since last season ended.
Cowboys fans confidence at various points:
- End of season: 65%
- Free agency: 57%
- Pre-draft: 79%
- Post-draft: 76%
- Preseason Week 1: 68%
- Week 1: 78%
Ezekiel Elliott returning undoubtedly injected quite a bit of confidence into Cowboys fans as has the continued optimism in the team’s first three games (New York Giants, at Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins). Whether the Cowboys are able to finally cash in on all of this remains to be seen.
It’s going to be fun to watch.
