Dak Prescott had a phenomenal showing during the Dallas Cowboys season opener against the New York Giants, one that works pretty well for someone in the middle of contract negotiations.
Prescott’s performance is going to be one of the most discussed things across the NFL world this week, but that might not be all that’s around the corner as far as the team’s franchise quarterback is concerned. Jerry Jones spoke after the team’s big win and said that a contract extension between the team and Dak is “imminent.”
#Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expressed confidence that a deal for Dak Prescott is “imminent.” After a performance like that, with so much money and everything else on the line, it’s fair to ask what he’s waiting for. The price is only going up.

It always felt like the Cowboys and Prescott were definitely going to get something done, but his performance seems to have taken that inevitability to a greater level. You know that when Jerry Jones is using words like “imminent” that something is truly about to happen.
If Kellen Moore is going to keep using Prescott like this, it’s best to get him done as soon as possible.
