The Dallas Cowboys drafted Zack Martin in 2014. It was one of the greatest decisions that the franchise ever made. Martin has been one of the best guards in the NFL literally since the beginning of his career six years ago. He has picked up accolade after accolade and looks to be well on his way to earning a bronze bust in Canton, Ohio when it’s all said and done.
A few weeks ago it was announced that Martin was named to the Pro Bowl for the sixth year in a row (he’s never not been a Pro Bowler), and on Friday the Associated Press announced their All-Pro teams and that’s ultimately the measure of the best talent in the NFL in a given year.
Unfortunately, the Cowboys only had one All-Pro for the 2019 season, but unsurprisingly it was Zack Martin. This means that Martin has literally been named a Pro Bowler and All-Pro of some kind in 100% of his NFL seasons. There is no word short of incredible to describe that.
Zack Martin career accolades
- 2014: Pro Bowl
- 2014: First-Team All-Pro
- 2015: Pro Bowl
- 2015: Second-Team All-Pro
- 2016: Pro Bowl
- 2016: First-Team All-Pro
- 2017: Pro Bowl
- 2017: Second-Team All-Pro
- 2018: Pro Bowl
- 2018: First-Team All-Pro
- 2019: Pro Bowl
- 2019: First-Team All-Pro
As you can see this is the first time in Martin’s career that he has been named a First-Team All-Pro in consecutive seasons. He was fantastic throughout the season.
Unfortunately the Cowboys have yet to taste a legitimate amount of success in Martin’s tenure (and many other players’) but they have one of the best guards in the NFL and everyone knows it.
Congratulations to Zack!
