The Dallas cowboys sit at 2-4 on the season and are dealing with hardships that nobody could have foreseen. Gone for the year are cornerstones like Dak Prescott, Tyron Smith, and La’el Collins, among others. Leighton Vander Esch made his return last week, but it wasn’t enough to help one of the worst defenses in NFL history through six weeks.
Ezekiel Elliott fumbled twice during last week’s loss and the team is going to need him to come up big if they want to continue their undefeated record in NFC East play. They will be on the road against division rivals for their next two contests, but up first is the Washington Football Team.
Perhaps the only saving grace headed the Cowboys way is in fact how awful Washington is. The Football Team lost to the New York Giants last week and doesn’t seem to have much in quarterback Kyle Allen. It remains to be seen exactly what the health of their defensive line will be, but Ron Rivera has typically played the Cowboys well when he was previously with the Carolina Panthers.
