The Dallas Cowboys use Thursdays as their big padded day of practice, so the results from that day can go a long way in determining who will play on Sunday. Today’s practice report came out and the Cowboys look to be in pretty good shape, minus one big offensive line piece in Zack Martin.
You won’t see the name of Cam Erving on there because technically he’s still on injured reserve although he is practicing, and earlier today coach Mike McCarthy said he was hopeful that he could go this week. He would be in line for the left tackle position left vacated by Brandon Knight’s knee surgery.
Aldon Smith was a limited participant as coach McCarthy predicted earlier today, but coach also said he expects him to go on Sunday. Zack Martin is still working his way through the concussion protocol so his status is unlikely to be determined until late in the week.
No surprises on Cowboys' injury report. Three players on it Thursday. DE Aldon Smith (neck) a limited participant; he's expected to play Sunday at Washington. LT Brandon Knight (knee) and RG Zack Martin (concussion) missed practice. Knight won't play. Martin TBD.
