The Cowboys have completed their first practice of the week as they prepare for an NFC East clash with the New York Giants. As was noted earlier today, Tyron Smith did not practice. We don’t know yet if that is because of some problem from the Browns game, or if the Cowboys are just being cautious and giving him some time off.
He was joined in the did not practice category by Tyrone Crawford who is dealing with an ankle injury. Also out today was reserve defensive tackle Dorance Armstrong who has a knee problem. And Joe Looney, of course, was out with his knee sprain.
The good news is that DeMarcus Lawrence was a full participant with his nagging knee problem. Trevon Diggs also has nagging injuries but he continues to work through it and was a full participant.
For the Giants, they were without Oshane Ximines and had three players who were limited including safety Jabrill Peppers.
Cowboys LT Tyron Smith (neck) didn’t practice today. DE DeMarcus Lawrence (knee) was a full participant.
