November 11th, 2020 marks a very special day for the United States of America - Veteran’s Day.

Today serves as a great reminder of the brave men and women that have served in our armed forces, something that we are eternally grateful for.

One of the most famous athletes to ever serve is of course Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Pro Football Hall of Famer, and Heisman Trophy Winner Roger Staubach. If you polled Cowboys fans on who their favorite player of all time was, he would likely receive the most votes.

Mr. Staubach was kind enough to take some time on his Veteran’s Day to talk with us about how he is doing these days, the work that he is doing with USAA, and of course, the Dallas Cowboys. You can hear our conversation with him below.

Mr. Staubach mentioned a contest that military members can enter, “USAA Salute To Service Sweepstakes” which includes a virtual experience (Skype call, video game play session, etc.) with an NFL player. For more information you can visit

We want to extend our sincerest gratitude to Mr. Staubach and to USAA for their time.

Happy Veteran’s Day to those who have served.
