The Dallas Cowboys are about to host the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers and conventional wisdom says that it won’t be the most fun three hours for those in silver and blue.
It has been a season of pain for Cowboys fans while the Steelers have yet to taste the bitter pill of defeat. Whether or not Dallas can shock the world remains to be seen, but if they have hopes of doing so they are going to require a fair bit of luck.
Saturday brought with it a report that Dallas, already down a number of players, was preparing to play this game without top running back Ezekiel Elliott. The inactive list is out, but Zeke’s name does not appear on it. He’s good to go.
Dallas Cowboys inactives:
- QB Ben DiNucci
- WR Malik Turner
- FS Reggie Robinson
- RB Seo Olonilua
- LB Joe Thomas
- DE Bradlee Anae
Pittsburgh Steelers inactives:
- QB Josh Dobbs
- DB Mike Hilton
- FB Derek Watt
- T Derwin Gray
- TE Zach Gentry
- DE Tyson Alualu
Ezekiel Elliott had never missed a game due to injury prior to today so one of the more incredible assets of his game - his durability - will live on for another day. It will be interesting to see if the Cowboys utilize Tony Pollard more to lessen Elliott’s load. With Dallas on bye next week, hopefully they can return as many players as healthy as possible.
For now, it’s time to host the undefeated Steelers.
